INFORMATION NOTE

The company Laboratorios Byly, S.A, has informed the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) of the voluntary withdrawal of lot 26:03 2301 of the product TAKY CERA DIVINA DEPILATORIA FACIAL CON ACEITES NATURALES, 100 g.

The wax is in conformity with the established specifications although the packaging has a defect not detected during routine checks which could potentially affect the safety of the product. This defect is unique to this batch of packaging and historically there have never been any incidents of this type.

Defective containers start to deteriorate before the end of the heating time indicated in the product’s instructions for use. They may melt at some point and cause the wax to spill onto the microwave plate. Occasionally, a small flame may appear on the packaging.

The risk of this defect in the packaging causing an adverse health effect is very low if the heating instructions indicated in the leaflet included in the product are strictly followed, since if you proceed as indicated and constantly monitor the wax during the heating process, you can stop the microwave if any of the anomalies indicated appear, thus minimising the risk of causing a major incident and consequently an adverse health effect.

Laboratorios Byly, S.A., on detecting this incident, has withdrawn the affected batch of the product from the market and has started to recover the units purchased by consumers, providing them with an e-mail address (info@taky.es) and a telephone number (674 353 706) where they will be given instructions on how to proceed.
